We are quickly approaching the return of the Lunenburg
Tabletop Hockey League! This season will be a very special one as we celebrate
the milestone fifth season of the league. It’s going to be the biggest season
ever as this year’s roster will be the largest in league history with twelve
players. Also, the Heritage Cup finally makes its long awaited debut. We will
be celebrating the heritage of the game as all members will compete on vintage
tables under a round robin format. The winner will hoist the trophy as the
first Heritage Cup champion. It’s history in the making.
King of the Hill will also return for its fourth consecutive season. Last year’s
finale was the closest in history as Cody Nodding won the standings by just one
point. With a bigger roster it’s sure to be even more unpredictable. The fast
paced, elimination style variation of table hockey has become a favorite
among league members. Who will be wearing the crown at the end of the season?
The New York Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings will return to the league for
the first time in over two years for the 2019-2020 season. Who will leave season
five as the LTHL Champion? The Chicago Black Hawks have conquered the league
every season thus far. You can bet the other five teams will be pulling out all
of the stops to try and come out on top.
The milestone fifth season will begin on Tuesday, October 15th at a
special start time of 6:15 PM. The season will commence with a special opening
ceremony celebrating the previous four seasons. All of the new LTHL members
will be ushered in followed by the ceremonial first puck drop. The Heritage Cup
and King of the Hill will kick off during the season premiere. All players are
asked to arrive on time in order to get all of the games underway.
There will also be a special pre-season night to be held one week prior on
Tuesday, October 8th at 6:30 PM. New members can meet existing
members and learn the rules of the league. Everyone is welcome to play the
games to get practice for the upcoming season.
